Belitung Bay Coffee is grown, processed, and roasted entirely on our micro-lot farm on Belitung Island, Indonesia — with the island's iconic lighthouse in the distance. To cultivate specialty coffee at sea level, we grow the rare Liberica bean, prized for its climate resilience and distinctive flavor profile.

What is Liberica Coffee?
Liberica coffee (Coffea liberica) is one of the world's rarest and most distinctive coffee species - making up only 1.5% of global coffee production. Unlike the more common Arabica and Robusta beans, Liberica thrives in lowland tropical climates, producing larger, asymmetrical beans with a bold character.
In the cup, Liberica offers a complex flavor profile, featuring a rich, smoky aroma layered with floral and fruity notes. Its full-bodied texture carries woody and nutty undertones, balanced by deep notes of dark chocolate, caramel, and even exotic jackfruit and spice.​
